Food Swaps
Do you have a surfeit of spinach, plenty of pears, too many tomatoes or buckets of beans?
Are you short on shallots, in need of nasturtiums, longing for loquats or wanting some Warrigal greens?
Then come to your nearest food swap and share your excess produce. Meet local folks, talk about gardening and sustainability, swap hints and of course pick up a little food.
Anything food-related can be swapped: veggies, fruit, herbs, eggs, seeds, seedlings, cuttings, worm juice, sour-dough starter, homemade produce such as chutneys and jams.
The food swap is a free exchange.
Find us on Facebook at Transition Darebin and Darebin Urban Harvesters.
We look forward to seeing you at a local Transition Darebin food swap soon!
If you would like to start a swap closer to your own home, see our guide to setting up a food swap.
