Spiritual Healing Trail at Darebin Parklands

29 October, 2013 at 1:26 pm Leave a comment

In 2012 the late Aboriginal Elder Uncle Reg Blow led a group of people from all ages and backgrounds along the Spiritual Healing trail. People described the experience as ‘deeply moving’ and which helped them understand Aboriginal connection to country and spirituality.

To honour the memory of Uncle Reg, residents of all ages, abilities and backgrounds are again invited to come together and walk the Spiritual Healing Trail led by uncle Reg’s Son, Troy Blow.

A gift from the Aboriginal community as a gesture of Reconciliation, the Spiritual Healing Trail aims to promote good health by improving our emotional and spiritual well-being and our sense of being connected to the land, to others, and to ourselves.

Refreshments, supper and entertainment will also be provided.

A crew of Transition Darebin members will be joining the walk and will have our banner (or some form of communication) to make our presence know. We welcome you to join us and the rest of the community for this special event.

Please note: There are two walks: one commencing at 1:00pm, the other at 3:00pm. TD members will be at the first one (and maybe a few at the second!).
