Come along and discover how the food you eat can have a big impact on the environment, the economy and the community. Hear from expert presenters and local stories on some good choices that we can all make every day to eat more sustainably, eat well and save money. This workshop will give you practical information and includes hands-on activities.
Kat Lavers will host a session – Eating the suburbs – permaculture design for growing food at home. She will introduce you to permaculture and show you how to transform even a modest backyard into a productive and delightful little oasis. Angelo Eliades will also talk about the transformation of his Thornbury backyard into a productive, biodiverse urban food forest with 30+fruit trees, berries, annuals & perennials, companion plants & many others!
Arrive from 6.45pm, workshop from 7pm-9pm.
